LIFE CHALLENGES AND CHANGES COUNSELLING

Counselling for the challenges that life throws at all of us. With Pamela Muir, available in person in Nairn and online across the UK.

Counselling for the full complexity of being human.

Life does not always go the way we plan. Illness, ageing, the quiet erosion of confidence, the particular loneliness of feeling like you should be coping better than you are, the inevitability of death. These are not small things. And yet they are the kinds of things that people often feel they don’t have permission to bring to therapy.

You have permission. Whatever is affecting your wellbeing and your ability to live the life you want, it deserves to be taken seriously.

EMOTIONAL WELLBEING COUNSELLING IN NAIRN AND ONLINE

You don’t have to be in crisis to deserve support.

One of the most common things I hear from new clients is some version of ‘I wasn’t sure I was struggling enough to come’. There is no threshold you have to cross. Therapy is not just for the times when life feels unbearable. It is also for the times when you just want to understand yourself better, feel less alone, or find a way through something that’s been quietly grinding you down.

Living with chronic illness or disability, navigating menopause, dealing with the particular challenges that come with getting older, struggling with loneliness or low confidence, working through the aftermath of an abortion, trying to make sense of family dynamics that have never made sense, all of it is worth bringing into the room.

I have personal experience of living with reduced mobility and chronic pain. I know what it is to have your life changed by something physical, and I bring that understanding into my work with clients dealing with health challenges.

Sessions are 50 minutes, available in person at my counselling bothy near Nairn, online, or by telephone. I work with clients across Scotland and the UK. Fees are £40 to £55 on a sliding scale.

I trained at the University of the Highlands and Islands and am a registered member of both BACP and COSCA.

ONLINE EMOTIONAL WELLBEING COUNSELLING UK

Wellbeing counselling wherever you are in the UK.

Online and telephone counselling means that physical challenges, distance, or simply the energy it takes to leave the house on a difficult day are not barriers to getting support. For clients dealing with chronic illness, disability, or the challenges of older age, this flexibility matters.

I work with clients online across the whole of the UK. Sessions are available Monday to Friday, 10am to 8.30pm.
