IDENTITY, DIVERSITY AND RELATIONSHIPS COUNSELLING

A counsellor who is genuinely curious about who you are. Person-centred counselling with Pamela Muir, available in person in Nairn and online across the UK.

Counselling that makes room for all of who you are.

Identity is complicated. It shifts, evolves, and sometimes comes into conflict with the world around us or the people we love. Whether you’re navigating questions about your gender, your sexuality, your cultural identity, or the complexity of your relationships, having a space to explore those questions without judgement matters enormously.

Relationships are complicated too. The people we love most can also be the source of our deepest pain. Affairs, betrayals, the quiet erosion of trust, the particular challenges of relationships that don’t fit a conventional mould, all of it deserves to be taken seriously and explored with care.

LGBTQ+ Counselling and Identity Support in Nairn and Online

I’m genuinely curious about your experience, not just professionally.

My commitment to equality and diversity isn’t a box I tick. It’s something I bring into every session. I am curious about the experiences of others and sensitive to cultural differences, and I understand that for many people, finding a counsellor who actually gets it, rather than one who merely tolerates it, makes all the difference.

Whether you’re working through questions about your identity, navigating a relationship structure that others don’t understand, processing the impact of racism or discrimination, or exploring your spirituality, you deserve a space where you don’t have to explain or justify yourself before we get to the actual work.

Relationship work is something I find particularly meaningful. The dynamics within relationships, whether monogamous or not, whether new or long-established, whether intact or breaking down, are endlessly complex and deeply human. I’m here for all of it.

Sessions are 50 minutes, available in person at my counselling bothy near Nairn, online, or by telephone. I work with clients across Scotland and the UK. Fees are £40 to £55 on a sliding scale.

I trained at the University of the Highlands and Islands, am a registered member of both BACP and COSCA, and am certified to work with Diversity Within Contemporary Relationships.

Identity and relationship counselling wherever you are in the UK.

Online counselling means you can access support from wherever you feel most comfortable. For many LGBTQ+ clients and those exploring questions of identity, being able to choose a counsellor based on fit rather than geography makes a real difference.

I work with clients online across the whole of the UK. Sessions are available Monday to Friday, 10am to 8.30pm.
